Collaborative Pianist in Music
The University of North Alabama's Department of Music invites applications for Collaborative Pianist in Music beginning in August 2026. This position is a nine-month staff position. The Department of Music is a proud member of the School of the Arts, alongside wonderful colleagues from the departments of cinematic arts and theatre, visual art & design, and entertainment industry. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain excellence as collaborative pianist accompanying students during applied lessons, departmental recitals, juries, junior and senior recital hearings, junior and senior recitals, and other student performances;
to perform as a collaborative pianist with faculty in the department; to rehearse and perform as collaborative pianist for choral ensembles; to attend faculty and other relevant meetings; to collect all collaborative pianist schedules and assign all collaborative pianists to applied lessons, and to perform other duties as assigned. Sponsorship is not available for this position. Salary is commensurate with education and experience but expected to be within the range of $45,000-$50,000/nine months with full benefits.
Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in music, music education, piano, or a related field; master's degree in the discipline of piano is preferred; experience as a collaborative pianist is required.
