The University of North Alabama’s Spencer College of Education and Human Sciences’ Kilby Laboratory School is accepting applications for the position of Lead Teacher for its four‑year Pre‑K classroom. This lead teacher will be responsible for instruction and oversight of a class of four‑year‑old preschoolers in an Alabama Department of Children’s Affairs Office of School Readiness classroom.

• Plan and implement age‑appropriate daily activities for four‑year‑olds.
• Design and implement preschool curriculum aligned with grant guidelines and NAEYC accreditation standards.
• Maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment.
• Supervise auxiliary teacher and student workers.
• Use current technology skills in classroom instruction.

• Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and current or eligible Alabama valid professional educator certification in Early Childhood Education (P‑3). LETRS training and STEM instruction experience preferred.
• Alternatively, Master’s level Special Education degree in Early Childhood with a minimum of 18 credit hours in early childhood/child development coursework and a current or eligible Alabama valid professional educator certification in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Special Education with a minimum of 18 credit hours in early childhood/child development coursework.
