The University of North Alabama invites applications for adjunct (part-time) teaching positions expected to be available in the areas of Mass Communication.
Application for this posting is an application for entrance into an approved Adjunct Instructor pool from which adjunct instructors will be selected each semester based on enrollment and need.
Persons holding adjunct teaching positions normally teach three to six credit hours or nine contact hours per semester.
Payment for adjunct teaching is on a standardized university scale according to credit or contact hours taught.
A minimum of a Master's degree in journalism, digital media production, radio/television/film, or a related field + 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
Adjuncts are typically paid $800/credit hour or $2,400 per 3-credit course however, some differences may occur based on credit/contact hours taught, and the college/department in which you will teach.
