The University of North Alabama invites applications for adjunct (part-time) teaching positions expected to be available in the area of Respiratory Therapy in Nursing & Health Professions - Undergraduate Programs. Persons holding adjunct teaching positions normally teach three to six credit hours or nine contact hours per semester. Payment for adjunct teaching is on a standardized university scale according to credit or contact hours taught.
Application for this posting is an application for entrance into an approved Adjunct Instructor pool from which adjunct instructors will be selected each semester based on enrollment and need. A minimum of a master's degree from an accredited institution is required, plus 18 graduate hours in the desired teaching discipline. Must hold a valid respiratory therapy (RRT) credential and current state license.
For consideration for adjunct teaching and/or entrance to the approved pool, complete adjunct application packets include official transcripts for the highest degree attained. If any of your graduate hours in the relevant teaching discipline are taken from a degree(s) that is not your highest attained, an official transcript of that degree(s) must also be submitted.
Adjuncts are typically paid $800/credit hour or $2,400 per 3-credit course however, some differences may occur based on credit/contact hours taught, and the college/department in which you will teach.
