- Lead the design and implementation of pricing strategies aligned with profitability and growth targets
- Oversee rate reviews and pricing model development across states and segments
- Collaborate with Product, Underwriting, and Claims on pricing decisions and new product initiatives
- Drive rate filing strategies, including actuarial support preparation and regulatory responses
- Monitor loss ratios, retention, and conversion to evaluate pricing effectiveness and recommend adjustments
- Ensure compliance with actuarial standards and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or related field required
- 5+ years of pricing experience in P&C insurance, preferably personal or non-standard auto
- Deep understanding of actuarial pricing methods, loss cost modeling, and competitive analysis
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, R, Python, or actuarial software such as Emblem and Radar
- Experience supporting rate filings and communicating with regulators
- Strong strategic thinking, business judgment, and communication skills
- Familiarity with Florida and Texas markets is a strong plus
- ASA/ACAS designation preferred; progress toward actuarial credentials is a plus
- Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline is a plus
- Must meet employment eligibility requirements; UAIC participates in E-Verify
Demonstrates expertise in pricing strategy design and implementation within the P&C insurance sector, with a strong focus on actuarial pricing methods and compliance with regulatory standards. Proficient in data analysis and communication, facilitating collaboration across departments to drive profitability and growth.
