Position SummaryThe CT Technologist is a non-exempt position that reports to both the Director of Radiology and the Department Supervisor. This role requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. The technologist must be capable of working in a stressful environment and responding appropriately when necessary. On‑call availability is required; the technologist must accept on-call assignments for regularly scheduled shifts and be able to report to the facility within 30 minutes of notification.
Responsibilities include reviewing patient history and physician orders, educating patients about procedures, preparing and administering contrast media or medications as ordered, monitoring patients continually, troubleshooting equipment, performing imaging procedures, analyzing results, and ensuring accurate reporting of scan results.
- Two (2) years of education:
Certificate, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree - Graduate of a Program in the Discipline, required or validated by current licensure
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiology and CT
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
