Medical Assistant Certified | North Alabama Bone & Joint Clinic

North Alabama Bone and Joint is searching for a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant who can handle working in a fast-paced clinic environment with a positive attitude, great teamwork, and a strong desire for efficiency. This position will provide high-quality care to patients seen within the clinic under the direct supervision of a physician or physician assistant. (Experience to be considered in lieu of certification)

• Prepares medicines according to physician request
• Maintains competency in specific area of practice
• Performs dressing changes and staple/suture removal
• Cross-trained as a cast technician to provide casting and cast removal as needed
• Records appropriate clinical notes and maintains patients’ records
• Schedule and pre-certify patient surgeries and procedures
• Effectively communicate with patients
• Other clinical support duties as required

• Works well as a member of a group

• Detail Oriented:
  Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
