Sky Bridge Luxury & Associates is conducting a confidential search for an accomplished Director of Operations on behalf of a distinctive lifestyle hotel in a historic Southern city. This is an exceptional opportunity for a hands-on hospitality leader with a proven background in luxury hospitality to oversee the property's Rooms-focused operations while driving operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, and delivering an elevated guest experience.
This executive leadership opportunity is ideal for a hands-on hospitality professional whose leadership experience has been built within luxury hotels or luxury lifestyle properties. Although titled Director of Operations, this role is intentionally focused on the Rooms Division, providing executive oversight of Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, Bell Services, and PBX while ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, and an exceptional guest journey from arrival through departure.
Responsibilities- Provide strategic and operational leadership for Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, Bell Services, and PBX.
- Foster a culture of exceptional hospitality, accountability, and service excellence.
- Lead, mentor, coach, and develop department leaders and front-line associates.
- Oversee departmental budgets, forecasting, labor management, scheduling, and productivity.
- Ensure room readiness, cleanliness standards, and quality assurance initiatives are consistently achieved.
- Partner with Engineering to maintain guest rooms and public spaces to the highest operational standards.
- Drive guest satisfaction through proactive service recovery and continuous operational improvements.
- Monitor departmental performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and guest experience.
- Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to achieve overall property goals and financial objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and brand operating procedures.
- Recent leadership experience within a luxury hotel or luxury lifestyle property is required.
- Five or more years of progressive luxury operations or Rooms Division leadership experience overseeing Front Office, Housekeeping, and related Rooms Division functions.
- Demonstrated understanding of luxury service standards and the expectations of discerning guests.
- Proven success leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams in a luxury hospitality environment.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing departmental budgets, labor, forecasting, and operational performance.
- Experience improving guest satisfaction metrics while maintaining luxury-level operational excellence.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills with the ability to inspire and develop exceptional teams.
- A visible, hands-on leadership style with a genuine passion for luxury hospitality, personalized service, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
- Experience working within Forbes Travel Guide standards or a comparable luxury service environment is strongly preferred.
Competitive base salary up to $125,000, bonus eligibility, comprehensive benefits package, and relocation assistance.
