Production Team Member

LOCATION:

Florence, Alabama STARTING PAY: $15.47/hr (+ incentives)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Tarkett is seeking a new Production Team Member to join their manufacturing team in Florence, Alabama.  Promoting a safety culture and utilizing WCM tools and methodology, in this position you will work with others to deliver a quality product on time to Tarkett’s customers.

ESSESNTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Operate equipment and machines that support production
* Maintain and support 5S initiatives throughout the facility
* Drive a safety culture by adhering to all safety rules, supporting safety initiatives, and communicating opportunities for improvement through near misses, and Kaizen
* Maintain cleanliness of operations, equipment and facility
* Operate forklift
* Correctly move and label material/product throughout the process
* Ensure a quality product is delivered to the customer by inspecting product throughout the process
* Package and label material/product accurately
* Perform repetitive tasks
* Notify supervisor of defective material, equipment, or tools that hinder the process
* Participate in projects and work with others to provide solutions to opportunities and drive improvement and efficient REQUIREMENTS (including educational requirements)
* Understand the importance of working safely
* Pass a fit-to-work physical, drug screen, and background check
* Able to stand for long periods of time
* Able to work in a non-temperature controlled environment
* Have a high school diploma or GED
* Able to work a flexible work schedule
* Have a strong attention to detail
* Results Orientated

* Enjoy working collaboratively with others
* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
* Must be able to make repetitive motions involving twisting and turning.
