What Will You Do?- Plan, organize and implement systems and procedures that will enhance manufacturing production.
- Conduct cause and effect studies and implement corrective measures.
- Assess production processes to improve product consistency, standardize work procedures, flow, etc.
- Implement Lean concepts throughout the plant including 5S, Visual Work, Kanban, etc.
- Create and manage technical training programs for production employees.
- Ensure all aspects of new product introduction and changes to existing products are properly communicated to all stakeholders.
- Interface with various departments in coordinating technical information relating to specific projects.
- Project Management of capital equipment projects: identify equipment improvements, ensure on time delivery and within budget.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- This position will require the ability to move around the production floor to investigate issues with the production equipment or manufactured and purchased parts.
- Lift up to 25 pounds.
- Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, other related tasks in an office setting.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in a manufacturing, mechanical or industrial engineering role.
- Your engineering experience must include working with welding and fabrication processes.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Auto Cad, ProE. Prefer experience in Solid Works.
- Understanding of factory metrics and Lean (Operational Excellence) at a minimum with Six Sigma experience a plus.
- Proficient in ASME Code standards.
- Proven experience in designing assembly and welding fixtures for manufacturing.
- Experience managing several projects at once.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while meeting all deadlines.
