Registered Nurse (RN) Surgical Coordinator – Operating Room
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate surgical services in the operating room (OR) and endoscopic areas at North Alabama Medical Center. The successful candidate will assist the Director of Surgical Services in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing services within the surgical suites.
Location:
North Alabama Medical Center – Surgical Services include 15 surgical suites, 6 endoscopy rooms, 6 pre‑admission testing rooms, and 30 same‑day surgery rooms.
- Assist the Director of Surgical Services in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing services in surgical services OR and Endo areas.
- Make workload assignments and oversee patient flow/safety throughout surgical services, in addition to specific patient assignments.
- Current state RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- One year of experience preferred.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required within 90 days of hire.
- Two years of experience as a charge nurse with demonstrated administrative and supervisory competence.
