Registered Nurse - Emergency Services - Night Shift

Our Emergency Services unit specializes in providing direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Patients on this unit may include neonatal, infant, early childhood, late childhood, adolescent, young adult, middle adult, and older adult.

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Supervises nursing and support staff during assigned shifts and ensures safe, quality care.
• Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Documents patient care provided; performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

• Current state Registered Nurse license.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required;
  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• BCLS required.
• ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred; certifications must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Two to three years of experience preferred, but new graduates welcomed to apply.

Full Time Night Shift.
