About the Endoscopy Department
The Endoscopy Department provides high‑quality, patient‑centered diagnostic and therapeutic services in a safe and compassionate environment. The team uses advanced technology to perform a wide range of procedures including screening, diagnostic, interventional endoscopy gastrointestinal and lung procedures. The department focuses on patient comfort, safety, and timely care.
Responsibilities
- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
- Evaluate patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
Schedule
PRN – Shifts vary – No on‑call required.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in nursing required;
Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. - Nursing License.
- Some endoscopy experience preferred.
- BCLS and ACLS required.
- PALS, and Handle with Care preferred; must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
