Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Med/Surg Overflow (PRN)

Job Type: PRN | Nights.

Schedule:

2 shifts required every 2 weeks, rotating weekends.

Overview

Unit Description

Our Medical‑Surgical Post‑Surgical & Overflow Unit is a 32‑bed inpatient unit specializing in the care of patients recovering from general, orthopedic, and neurosurgical procedures. The unit also supports medical‑surgical overflow as needed. Nurses on the unit typically manage a 1:6 nurse‑to‑patient ratio, providing comprehensive postoperative monitoring, pain management, and coordinated interdisciplinary care.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize specialized plan‑of‑care interventions and serve as a patient‑care innovator.
  • Shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting‑edge technology to directly impact patient well‑being.
  • Accurately perform patient assessments and identify medical‑surgical needs.
  • Perform post‑operative assessments and wound care.
  • Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
  • Assist in multidisciplinary collaborations.
Qualifications
  • Current licensed LPN license.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 14 days of hire.
  • Minimum one year of nursing experience.
