Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Nursery for a travel nursing job in Florence, Alabama.

A registered nurse position is available in the well baby nursery and special care nursery level 2 at a healthcare facility located in Florence, Alabama. The role involves caring for neonates and postpartum adult patients, with night shifts scheduled 1900‑0700 and a minimum of 36 hours per week. Candidates must bring a valid license on the first day. This assignment will replace the current permanent staff.

• Qualifications: Current RN licensure in Alabama;
  Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing;
  Certifications in neonatal resuscitation (NRP) and Basic Life Support (BLS); minimum of 5 years experience in newborn assessment, thermoregulation, feeding assessments, glucose monitoring, circumcision care, post‑procedure monitoring, bilirubin management, hearing screening, PKU/metabolic screening, cord care, and family education.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior newborn or mother‑baby experience; familiarity with Meditech or Centricity electronic health record systems; knowledge of current American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) guidelines.
• Unit Information: 21 beds, patient ratios 1:5‑6 for well babies and 1:1‑3 for Special Care Nursery. Equipped with Giraffe Isolette, Panda Warner, Newborn ALGO 5 hearing equipment, State Newborn Screening, Phototherapy, and New Baby Infant Safety Security System.
