More About Our TeamOur Post‑Surgical Medical‑Surgical Unit is a 32‑bed inpatient unit specializing in the care of patients recovering from general, orthopedic, and neurosurgical procedures. The unit also supports medical‑surgical overflow as needed. Nurses on this unit typically manage a 1:6 nurse‑to‑patient ratio, providing comprehensive postoperative monitoring, pain management, and coordinated interdisciplinary care.
How You'll Contribute- Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies medical surgical needs
- Performs post operative assessments
- Performs wound care
- Performs timely and appropriate documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record
- Assists in multidisciplinary collaborations

Applicants should have a current Alabama or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. - Basic Life Support required.
- ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
- Experience preferred, but new grads welcomed to apply.
