Job Description

An RN specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) is needed for an overnight shift to provide postpartum care and support laboring patients with fetal monitoring and assessment. Responsibilities include emergency response, time management, and delivering individualized postpartum care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Responsibilities
  • Perform fetal monitoring and assessment.
  • Provide emergency response when clinically indicated.
  • Deliver postpartum care.
  • Manage time and prioritize patient needs in a fast‑paced L&D environment.
  • Support care for common Labor and Delivery presentations, including normal spontaneous labor, preterm labor, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, placenta previa, placental abruption, fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, and postpartum hemorrhage.
  • Float:
    Postpartum rotation may be required.
Required Qualifications
  • Current RN licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or ALS‑OB.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
  • Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM).
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience and skills related to fetal monitoring and assessment, emergency response, postpartum care, and time management.
Additional Information
  • Weekly orientation is held on Mondays.
  • Patient ratio target is 1:1.
  • Float:
    Postpartum rotation may be required.

Pay Package

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
