Job Type: Full-Time | Days

Schedule: 3x12, Days (7a-7p), Rotating Weekends

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 available to well qualified applicants

At North Alabama Medical Center, join our Post‑Surgical Overflow Medical‑Surgical Unit, a 32-bed inpatient unit specializing in postoperative care for general, orthopedic, and neurosurgical patients. Nurses maintain a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, delivering comprehensive postoperative monitoring, pain management, and interdisciplinary coordination.

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify medical surgical needs.
• Perform post-operative assessments.
• Perform wound care.
• Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity.
• Assist in multidisciplinary collaborations.

• Current Alabama or compact state RN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required;
  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Basic Life Support required.
• ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
• Experience preferred, but new grads welcomed to apply.
