Critical Care Stepdown Registered Nurse
This is a 13-week contract position.
Shift: 19:00 - 07:00, Every other weekend required.
The Critical Care Stepdown Registered Nurse will provide patient care to adult and geriatric populations in a 31-bed unit. The positions require proficiency in managing cardiac drips, chest tubes, and familiarity with advanced medical equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patient conditions in stepdown settings.
- Administer medications, including cardiac drips, and manage chest tubes.
- Utilize medical equipment such as Baxter IV pumps and epidural pumps as necessary.
- Ensure efficient documentation using Meditech EHR.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a critical care stepdown or PCU environment.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
- ADN or BSN degree from an accredited institution.
