Registered Nurse – IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Job Opportunity

Provides specialized nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and intervention in a stepdown or IMC/PCU setting. Collaborates with healthcare teams to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care during night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following facility protocols.
• Monitor vital signs and alert physicians to changes in patient status.
• Document patient care accurately and timely using Epic charting system.
• Float within scope to assist other units as needed, ensuring optimal patient coverage.
• Comply with facility policies, including hurricane response procedures and RTO submission requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active SC or Compact nursing license in hand prior to start.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a stepdown, IMC, or PCU setting.
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications; NIHSS preferred.
• Demonstrate strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Be flexible to work 3x12 night shifts including holidays, weekends, and occasional float duties.
• Comply with travel and lab requirements, including completion within specified time frames.
