North Alabama Medical Center's Progressive Care Unit is where compassionate care meets clinical excellence. Our PCU bridges critical care and medical-surgical services, caring for patients who require close monitoring and advanced nursing skills-while still allowing time to build meaningful patient connections.

• Accurately performs patient assessments andidentifiespatient needs
• Identifiesandinitiatesappropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performstimelyandappropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• PerformstimelyandaccurateQI assessments

Schedule:

3 x127:00PM- 7:00AM

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification
• ACLSare required within six months of hire.
• One of experience preferred, but new grads welcomed to apply.

North Alabama Medical Centeris a 263-bed facility offering the community's only open-heart surgery site, a complete line of women's and children's services and a complete line of medical and imaging services. We are a Certified Chest Pain center and recognized as a Primary Stroke Center of Excellence by the American Heart/American Stroke Association. North Alabama Medical Center's 24-hour emergency department serves as the primary referral center for major trauma cases in Northwest Alabama.
