The District Manager role at Dollar Tree Stores is a full-time, on-site position based in Florence, AL. The District Manager oversees daily operations for a group of stores, ensuring consistent execution of company standards, merchandising plans, and customer service expectations. This role includes visiting stores regularly, coaching and developing Store Managers, monitoring staffing levels, and supporting recruitment and training efforts. The District Manager analyzes sales, labor, and inventory reports to drive profitability, control expenses, and meet performance goals.
The role also involves ensuring compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements, while fostering an inclusive, results-driven culture across the district.
- Demonstrated multi-unit retail leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development.
- Strong operational skills in store merchandising, inventory control, and cash handling procedures.
- Proven ability to analyze sales, labor, and financial metrics to drive results and improve profitability.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
- Organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize, plan store visits, and manage a large geographic area.
- Working knowledge of basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, POS and retail systems) and comfort with data-driven decision-making.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to travel regularly within the district.
- Experience in value, discount, grocery, or big-box retail environments is strongly preferred.
