Generator Installation Technician

As a Generator Installation Technician at MPE Services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients have reliable power backup systems in place. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, inspecting, and maintaining generators of various sizes and brands.
  • Collaborating with project managers to ensure timely and accurate installation.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Conducting load testing and ensuring generators meet performance specifications.
  • Safely operating hand and power tools to complete installation tasks.
  • Always complying with safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Keeping detailed records of installation and maintenance work.
  • Providing excellent customer service and addressing client questions and concerns.
  • Participating in ongoing training to stay up to date with industry advancements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in electrical systems is a plus.
  • Certified Generac Generator Installer (preferred)
  • Proven experience in generator installation and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with local electrical codes and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
  • A commitment to safety and the ability to follow safety protocols.
