Reporter

Role Description The Reporter role at Power Platform User Group UAE is a full-time, on-site position based in Florence, AZ. The reporter will cover community activities, events, and initiatives related to Microsoft Power Platform, producing timely and accurate news articles, reports, and feature stories. Daily responsibilities include attending meetings and events, interviewing key participants, gathering information from multiple sources, and transforming complex technical topics into clear, accessible content.

The reporter will create written, multimedia, and digital content for newsletters, blogs, and social platforms, ensuring consistent coverage of community achievements and industry trends. This role involves collaborating with organizers and contributors, maintaining editorial standards, and meeting deadlines while contributing to the group’s visibility and engagement.

Qualifications

• Strong Reporting and News Writing skills with experience in covering events, communities, or technology topics.
• Excellent Communication and Writing abilities, including clear, concise, and audience-appropriate language.
• Ability to produce Multimedia content (such as basic photos, video clips, or social media posts) to support written stories.
• Attention to detail, strong editorial judgment, and the ability to verify information from multiple sources.
• Familiarity or interest in Microsoft Power Platform and technology communities is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Florence, AZ, attend events, and manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency with standard office and content tools (e.g., word processing, online publishing platforms, and collaboration tools).
