TheAcademy of Before & Aftercare
is currently seeking a Site Administrator for the 2026–2027 school year
. The before and Aftercare Site Administrator plays a crucial role in managing the day-to-day operations of a before and after school program. This position is located at our Anthem Elementary campus.
This position is considered part time, Monday-Friday from 3:30pm-6:00pm. Opportunities for Full Time hours during Spring, Summer and Fall Breaks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Develop and implement engaging before and after school program activities that align with the interests and needs of the students.
- Recruit, hire, and train before and aftercare staff members.
- Provide ongoing supervision and support to ensure staff members adhere to program policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss program updates, challenges, and successes.
- Supervise students during before and after school program hours to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Assist students with homework and academic assignments as needed.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for parents/guardians regarding program information, policies, and concerns.
- Communicate regularly with parent’s/guardians about their child’s progress, behavior, and participation in the program.
- Solicit feedback from parents/guardians to continuously improve the program.
- Maintain Accurate attendance records for staff and students.
- Conduct regular drills to practice emergency procedures, such as fire drills and lockdown drills.
- Develop partnerships with local organizations and businesses to enhance the before and after school programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of staff members, including before and aftercare assistants, to ensure high-quality care and support.
- Skill in training and mentoring staff to maintain high standards of care, ensuring they are knowledgeable about program procedures, child safety, and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively to ensure the smooth running of the program, such as assigning responsibilities for activities, snack time, and monitoring children.
- Ability to resolve conflicts between children, staff, or parents calmly and professionally, ensuring all parties are heard and appropriate solutions are found.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with parents about their children’s behavior, schedules, and any issues that arise, maintaining an open line of communication.
- Skill in providing clear directions to staff and children, ensuring everyone understands the program’s expectations and schedules.
- Ability to manage children’s behavior using positive discipline techniques and providing guidance when necessary.
- Ability to create and manage daily schedules for children’s activities, including academic support, recreational activities, and breaks, ensuring a balanced and engaging program.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records for attendance, activities, staff schedules, and any incidents or behavioral issues.
- Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies, including medical issues, accidents, or behavioral crises, and familiarity with emergency procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 21 years or older
- Pass Applicable Background Check
- Previous experience working with elementary school aged children
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification
- Associate’s degree or higher in early childhood education, child development, education, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience working in a before and aftercare programs, childcare, or educational settings
- 2 years in a supervisory or coordinator role
- Experience with staff training and performance management
