Position Overview
As a School Psychologist, you will be an integral part of our efforts to support the emotional, social, and academic needs of our diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities Assessment and Evaluation- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need.
- Interpret assessment results to guide educational planning and intervention strategies.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students facing emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement effective intervention plans.
- Respond to crises within the school community, providing immediate support and intervention.
- Collaborate with school staff to implement crisis management protocols.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel to support the overall well‑being of students.
- Provide consultation on academic, social, and emotional concerns.
- Assist in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans.
- Support the creation of a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Stay current with advancements in psychology, education, and best practices.
- Engage in continuous professional learning to enhance support services.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to address concerns and provide resources.
- Participate in community outreach activities to enhance support networks.
- Utilize data to inform decision‑making processes related to student well‑being and academic success.
- Collaborate with school staff to analyze trends and implement targeted interventions.
- Perform other related tasks assigned by Supervisor and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent. It is essential to note that the above description is illustrative and not exhaustive.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- State licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience in conducting psychological assessments and providing counseling services in an educational setting.
- Commitment to educational equity, inclusivity, and community empowerment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

- Master's Degree (M.A.) in Education or related field (preferred)
- State licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
- Minimum of three (3) years of previous experience in field (preferred)
- Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
- Valid Arizona State licensure or certification in field.
- The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands; the employee is frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- May be required to travel to various school district buildings and attend professional meetings as needed, actively participating in the collective efforts to empower the community.
- Salary schedule commensurate with education and experience for this position
- 192 work days per Board approved work calendar
- Measles/Mumps/Rubella Immunity/Vaccination
- Valid I-9 form
- AZ Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the District Administration in accordance with Governing Board Policy.
