Your Main Tasks:
- Oversee inmate work crews in the production/service of meals
- Preparation/inventory documents before each meal
- Oversee additional records such as service plan, tray assessments, restricted diets, daily sanitation, and meal delivery
- Carry out the orientation and training program for inmate workers
- Ensure safety compliance and monitor equipment maintenance
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Arizona State driver’s license
- Ability to understand the facility’s recipes, policies, and procedures
- Ability to communicate minimum production/service requirements of the job to all personnel
- One‑year prior experience in managing or producing food in commercial, military, or institutional setting (helpful)
- Prior correctional food service training helpful but not mandatory
- Ability to work with computers and necessary software used by the department
- Frequently: Lift or carry and push/pull up to 60 lbs.; sit
- Occasionally: Lift, carry, push/pull up to 60 lbs. (sometimes more); bend, stoop, reach above shoulder, climb, walk, and stand
