This position is open to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their caregivers. AGS is looking for a Transportation Security Officer to work in Florence, AZ. Hourly Rate: $32.14.

• Ensure the safety and security of detainees in custody, acting in accordance with the highest ethical standards and maintaining fairness and integrity.
• Perform duties related to detention, processing, safeguarding, security, escort, and transport of detainees as required by the contract.
• Exercise surveillance and control over detainees, maintaining order and discipline.
• Make official entries in transportation and processing logbooks that are legible and complete.
• Conduct security and sanitation checks of the area before relieving the outgoing officer.
• Perform vehicle inspections before and after every transportation route.
• Inventory equipment and record results in the logbook.
• Receive authorized equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition.
• Carry an authorized intermediate weapon as required, using it in accordance with Service‑approved Use of Force policy.
• Maintain radio equipment in good working order with fully charged battery.
• Inspect, maintain, and care for authorized equipment.
• Qualify quarterly with a company‑issued semi‑automatic pistol, duty belt, and magazines.
• Successfully complete all assigned training, including defensive tactics and courses requiring minimum physical stamina.
• Guard detainees during transport, during medical care, and other duties as assigned.
• Perform all work duties in accordance with organization policies and procedures.
• Follow company‑wide safety policies and procedures, reporting and monitoring as outlined in the Officer Handbook and other Company Safety Policies.

• U.S. citizen or a person lawfully admitted into the United States for permanent residence, having resided in the U.S. for the last five years.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Completed at least 1‑year experience in Military, Security, Law Enforcement, or Corrections, demonstrating professional skills such as greeting the public, following instructions, exercising good judgment, maintaining poise during emergencies, and controlling detainees.
• Pass a criminal background and consumer credit check (no criminal record).
• Pass a drug test (pre‑employment and random).
• Pass a medical examination and meet health requirements.
• Minimum age 21 years.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement; completion of air brake test and passenger endorsement tests; ability to obtain and maintain a Class‑B CDL and a state security guard license from Arizona.
• Obtain and maintain DHS/ICE Government clearance.
• Requalify with weapon quarterly and maintain proficiency with firearms and special equipment.
• Maintain physical fitness standards and proficiency with firearms and related equipment.
• Maintain a professional appearance, calm demeanor, and discretion with confidential information, upholding integrity and accountability and adhering to DHS ICE National Detention Standards.
• Speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Compose concise written narratives and incident reports.
• Exercise judgment and discretion in all responses to situations.
• Demonstrate proficiency in securing and controlling detainees following required training, policies, and procedures.
• Work effectively with a diverse population, demonstrating cross‑cultural perspective.
