Sourcing Assistant

Job Purpose
In this position, you will actively assist the sourcing team in their execution of supply chain strategy and coordination of the footwear department.

Responsibilities

Update and maintain PLM and SAP with all necessary information.

Monitor and maintain accuracy of data within the system, throughout the season, following buying meetings and range reviews, in order to get an update scenario for all internal and external use (internal meetings and vendor production follow up).

Help and assist vendors (in Italy and abroad) in the daily routines with the Burberry indicated suppliers and systems/e‑platform, as well as with production, shipments and payment issues.

Create planners and follow up deliveries with vendors & run daily and weekly SAP delivery reports.

Preparation of data on both a routine and ad hoc basis, in order to ensure that any issues that may affect on‑time delivery of goods are raised at the earliest opportunity.

Liaise with all other teams cross‑functionally (PD, MD, Order Management Planning Logistics) as well as with the other sourcing teams in order to align work.

Personal Profile

Business background degree or similar preferred.

Analytical skills, comfortable with numbers.

Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Knowledge of SAP and BI desirable.

English as foreign language would be required.
