Accounts Payable Clerk
LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk for a growing client just north of Cincinnati. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of relevant experience and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $19 and $22 per hour.
Job Duties- Process a high volume of vendor invoices (typically 150+ per week) with accuracy and attention to detail
- Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system in a timely manner
- Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing issues, and missing documentation
- Maintain organized records of invoices, approvals, and payment support
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment inquiries and outstanding items
- Prepare weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments while ensuring deadlines are met
- Reconcile vendor statements and proactively identify past-due or unmatched items
- Assist with month-end close by ensuring all invoices are recorded and accruals are accurate
- Support 1099 preparation, audit requests, and reporting as needed
- Monitor and improve accounts payable processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Maintain vendor files, including setup of new vendors and verification of required documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely receipt approvals and accurate financial reporting
- 1+ years of high volume accounts payable experience
- Strong understanding of invoice processing and matching procedures
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to resolve issues independently
$19.00 to $22.00 per hour
