Student Operations Intern - Dining Services

Position Summary This position supports UGA Dining Services via The Food Pro Office using Food Pro, the department’s primary software tool for dining menu management and financials. The intern will assist in maintaining accurate data integrity, reconciling invoices for Dining Services, and contributing to process improvement initiatives. This role provides hands‑on experience in data management, system‑based operations, and financial reconciliation within a large‑scale university dining environment.

Responsibilities

  • Daily invoice reconciliation: accurately enter and maintain daily invoicing data in Food Pro; ensure consistency and accuracy of system data across multiple dining units; identify and flag discrepancies or irregularities in system entries; verify the accuracy of entered invoice data and make necessary corrections to ensure invoice amounts reconcile with Auxiliary Accounts Payable reporting.
  • Other systems work: learn critical components of Food Pro to maintain system accuracy; participate in special projects when required; assist with dining commons menu maintenance or inventory counts when needed.

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial and operational data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a professional environment.
