Job Description
We are looking for a meticulous Payroll Clerk to join our team in CLEVELAND, Ohio. The role is primarily focused on payroll processing, customer service, and administrative duties. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, providing a platform for career growth and development.
Responsibilities- Act as the first point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns via email.
- Monitor and manage client accounts, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate.
- Follow up with clients on any outstanding issues or questions related to their payroll.
- Process and maintain customer credit applications with precision and efficiency.
- Utilize Excel and MS Office to compose emails and manage customer data.
- Demonstrate independent thought and decision-making capabilities in the execution of tasks.
- Understand and interpret numerical data to assist in payroll processing.
- Handle sensitive customer information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Assist in conversion terms and other administrative duties as needed.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient payroll process.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar role within finance.
- Proficiency in data entry and management.
- Knowledge of payroll software is a plus.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Understanding of legislation related to payroll processes.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and management.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in business, accounting or relevant field is a plus.
- Relevant certification (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional, CPP) is an advantage.
