Job Description

We are looking for a meticulous Payroll Clerk to join our team in CLEVELAND, Ohio. The role is primarily focused on payroll processing, customer service, and administrative duties. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, providing a platform for career growth and development.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns via email.
  • Monitor and manage client accounts, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Follow up with clients on any outstanding issues or questions related to their payroll.
  • Process and maintain customer credit applications with precision and efficiency.
  • Utilize Excel and MS Office to compose emails and manage customer data.
  • Demonstrate independent thought and decision-making capabilities in the execution of tasks.
  • Understand and interpret numerical data to assist in payroll processing.
  • Handle sensitive customer information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Assist in conversion terms and other administrative duties as needed.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient payroll process.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar role within finance.
  • Proficiency in data entry and management.
  • Knowledge of payroll software is a plus.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of legislation related to payroll processes.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in business, accounting or relevant field is a plus.
  • Relevant certification (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional, CPP) is an advantage.
