The Graduate Enrollment team at Cedarville University seeks a dynamic Admissions Assistant. In this vital role, you will champion the graduate student admissions journey, taking direct ownership of the application process from the moment students apply until they officially enroll. The Admissions Assistant provides dedicated support for applicant progression through key stages of the graduate admission process for assigned programs. This position proactively serves as a liaison between the applicant and the University by providing timely follow‑up, monitoring progress, completing defined admissions-processing steps, and coordinating with internal support offices as needed to help applicants move consistently and efficiently through the enrollment process.
This position is subject to the University's verification of credentials and other information required by law and Cedarville University policies, including the successful completion of a background check. This position is located in Cedarville, Ohio.
Qualifications- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of one (1) year of related work experience in admissions, student service, higher education, customer service, administrative processing, or similar experiences preferred.
- Experience working with Slate or an equivalent CRM preferred.
- High computer proficiency with the ability to use technology to acquire, analyze, and communicate information. Fluency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) preferred.
- Proven excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated to problem solve effectively while managing various projects or tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to concentrate and use independent reasoning and good judgment within clearly defined role boundaries and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and achieve priorities in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Adept at following defined processes with strong attention to detail and consistent follow‑through.
- Proven ability to establish positive working relationships and strong partnerships with internal and external constituents.
