Summer Camp Leader

POSITION SUMMARY

This position works with the City of Twinsburg’s summer camps. This is a seasonal, non-union position. This position works up to 40 hours per week.

• Oversees daily activities, prioritizes safety and creates a fun engaging environment for campers.
• Interacts with attendees to encourage proper use of all facilities and park areas.
• Monitors behavior of campers to make sure all are having a safe and enjoyable time.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must be able to maintain a professional, helpful attitude at all times.
• CPR/First Aid certified on first day of work. The City will provide this training in advance, if needed.
• Must have sufficient sight and hearing ability with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to discern verbal instructions, communicate emergency signals and to communicate with other employees and the general public.
• Regular, punctual in-person attendance.
• Ability to interact and be courteous to fellow employees and participants of diverse backgrounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and smell.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.
