We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee day-to-day construction activities on a large-scale data centre project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered safely and to programme, and maintaining high standards of quality across all construction phases.
This role would suit a hands-on Site Manager with strong experience in mission-critical, industrial, electrical, mechanical, or large commercial construction environments.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily site operations and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site personnel
- Ensure all works are completed in line with project drawings, specifications, schedule, and quality standards
- Monitor site progress and report updates to the Project Manager / Construction Manager
- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, CSA, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Lead daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site coordination meetings
- Ensure compliance with all site safety procedures, OSHA requirements, permits, and company HSE standards
- Identify and resolve site issues quickly to minimise delays
- Support planning, lookaheads, sequencing, and labour/resource allocation
- Manage material deliveries, site logistics, access, storage, and subcontractor interfaces
- Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, permits, inspections, and handover documentation
- Ensure subcontractors meet required productivity, safety, and quality expectations
- Support commissioning, punch list close-out, and final handover where required
- Previous experience as a Site Manager, Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or Construction Supervisor
- Data centre experience preferred, but large-scale industrial, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, power, or commercial project experience will also be considered
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site coordination, and subcontractor management
- Good working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and US construction site requirements
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and method statements
- Experience coordinating MEP, CSA, and commissioning activities is highly desirable
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment with multiple subcontractors on site
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, or similar systems is beneficial
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- First Aid / CPR certification preferred
- Valid driver’s licence and right to work in the United States
- Hyperscale or colocation data centre construction
- Mechanical, electrical, or CSA package management
- Experience working with general contractors, EPCs, or major subcontractors
- Knowledge of QA/QC inspections, punch lists, permits to work, and commissioning handover
- Experience managing high-volume labour and subcontractor teams on fast-track projects.
