Project Director

Open to candidates in Virginia, Ohio, Indianapolis and Kentucky- must be willing to travel to Kentucky as needed

JOB DESCRIPTION This North American construction company is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of large-scale telecom infrastructure programs across multiple regions. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple concurrent construction projects, including long-haul fiber optic deployments, site infrastructure builds, wireless towers, and OSP initiatives. These projects are high-impact, highly complex, and require strong leadership across engineering, permitting, and construction execution.

As a Project Director, you will operate at a senior leadership level—owning overall project delivery, driving operational excellence, and ensuring alignment across teams, contractors, and stakeholders. You will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and on budget, while maintaining strong client and partner relationships.
• Oversee the delivery of multiple concurrent telecom infrastructure projects, including long-haul fiber routes, site infrastructure, OSP, and tower builds
• Own full project accountability across scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety
• Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, permitting, and construction to ensure successful project execution
• Manage contractor and subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and contractual obligations
• Drive project planning, risk mitigation, and issue resolution across all phases of the build lifecycle
• Oversee permitting processes and ensure seamless coordination between regulatory, engineering, and field teams
• Partner closely with internal leadership, clients, and stakeholders to provide project updates, manage expectations, and ensure alignment
• Monitor overall program performance and implement process improvements to drive efficiency, scalability, and consistency Support commercial oversight, including contract execution, change orders, and cost control across projects
