This position will be responsible for teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) classes on campus (not a distance education position) or Integrated Education and Training (IET) services within the community. Topics include reading, writing, listening, speaking, and civics education in the Adult Education ESL program. There will be a minimum of two classes per week, which will include teaching in the mornings, Monday through Thursday.

• Teach reading, writing, listening, speaking, and civics education in English as a Second Language.
• Position will teach a minimum of two classes (Monday through Thursday) per week at varying levels and at multiple sites.
• This will include lesson development and the use of online learning systems.
• Manage the data and record-keeping for their ESL students at all locations, other duties as assigned.

• Must score NRS level 6 on the TABE in Reading and Math.
• Must have classroom experience delivering ESL instruction as well as using digital learning programs for instruction.
• Ability to work well with a diverse group of people.
• Database experience
• Testing experience
• Excellent digital literacy skills
• Ability to develop curriculum and lessons at various levels of difficulty and for an ESL population
• Ability to work with adult students and non‑native speakers
• Must be able to work independently.
• Excellent organizational skills; high attention to detail; independent; self‑motivated; able to work in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with many individuals at all levels throughout the internal college environment and external business and community partners, representing himself/herself professionally and courteously.
• Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
• Ability to multitask, work under deadlines, and prioritize projects to meet deadlines with high levels of efficiency and accuracy.
• Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Word).

• Previous experience in a community college setting
• Experience in an Adult Education program with ESL preferred.
• Experience working at the community college level.
