Responsibilities Leadership & Culture- Lead, inspire, and develop a high‑performing cross‑functional team of educators and support staff.
- Foster a safe, structured, and trauma‑informed school culture through the implementation of PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) and MTSS (Multi‑Tiered System of Supports).
- Serve as the primary culture champion, leading GEIST (Growth, Excellence, Integrity, Service, Teamwork) Councils, mentoring initiatives, and meaningful school events.
- Own the school’s enrollment pipeline, driving recruitment efforts, community outreach, and lead nurturing to achieve and maintain full FTE enrollment.
- Partner closely with the Enrollment Specialist to ensure rapid response times to new leads and a seamless onboarding and discovery process for new students.
- Produce content, social media updates, and a bi‑monthly State of the School report to keep the community, board, and stakeholders deeply engaged.
- Oversee the student onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring accurate scheduling, needs assessments, and IT setup.
- Monitor daily academic functions, including course completions, skill development, and CTE (Career and Technical Education) exposure.
- Collaborate with Family Advocates and Student Success Coaches to review daily attendance reporting, implement AIT interventions, and coordinate wraparound services for students in need.
- Ensure students have the resources they need to develop their “Life Blueprint” and pursue a meaningful post‑graduation pathway.
- Act as the main financial steward of the building, executing monthly budget reviews, managing supply inventories, and approving purchase and travel requests.
- Maintain impeccable safety and security standards, ensuring strict adherence to facility best practices and submitting pertinent maintenance requests.
- Ensure full compliance with state and network mandates, including the administration of testing coordination, and the School Improvement Plans.

Required
- 3‑5+ years of leadership experience working directly with historically underserved student populations, opportunity youth, or in non‑traditional educational settings.
- Proven track record of taking full ownership of organizational outcomes and driving measurable, data‑backed success.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills with demonstrated success navigating relationships with school boards, community partners, and families.
- Proven ability to build effective teams and act as a highly effective coach/trainer to staff.
- Exceptional technology and systems fluency; demonstrated ability to utilize CRM platforms (e.g. Hub Spot), Student Information Systems (e.g. Power School), attendance software (e.g. SWIPE), project management software, Google Workspace, and spreadsheets.
- Deep alignment with Fusion Ed’s mission and core values, demonstrating a voracious appetite for learning and continuous improvement.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to balance strategic vision and daily operational execution.
Useful / Preferred
- Fluency in utilizing AI tools to improve administrative efficiency and content generation.
- Familiarity with Ohio’s charter school compliance, EMIS reporting, and graduation pathways.
- Formal training or certification in trauma‑informed care and restorative justice practices.
