Position Summary
The College of Pharmacy’s Director for Student Success is engaged with students in all phases of the process that leads to the successful completion of the Pharm
D degree, from admissions through graduation. The Director works in collaboration with the university’s centralized admissions and student services offices and provides oversight of all aspects of pharmacy student affairs, including student services, student advising, and student promotion.
- Admissions: Work in collaboration with the university’s Senior Executive Director, Strategic Enrollment Initiatives, the centralized admissions office, and the Assistant Dean of Admissions to assist in the pharmacy student recruitment and admissions process.
- Student Services: Serve as the first point of contact for pharmacy students, collaborating with the centralized Student Services office to ensure student services needs are addressed. Provide early identification of struggling students, support pharmacy student organizations and student leaders, address student professionalism concerns, advocate for students in academic and student conduct proceedings, guide students through absence policies, oversee career advising, residency, fellowship, and workplace application processes, support the Teaching and Learning Certificate Program, and create programming that supports student success, wellness, and leadership.
- Administrative: Oversee the budget and the budget request process for the Office of Student Success, ensure completion of relevant parts of the University and College strategic plans, represent the College on university committees related to students, and ensure that the college meets all Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) standards related to student services and admissions.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
- Master’s degree in education, counseling, or a related field.
- Experience in student services/student affairs in higher education.
- Prior experience working in a pharmacy school/college.
- Prior experience in predoctoral pharmacy student affairs/student services.
- Knowledge of, and experience with, accreditation of pharmacy education programs by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).

Starting Salary Range: $60,356 – $71,422, commensurate with experience.
