This full-time, on-site Science Teacher – Middle School role is based in Florence, KY. The teacher will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with school curriculum and Christian values for middle school students. Daily responsibilities include designing and implementing lesson plans, assessing student progress, providing timely feedback, and maintaining accurate records of grades and attendance. The role involves integrating hands‑on experiments, demonstrations, and technology to support inquiry‑based learning in areas such as general science, basic physics, and foundational mathematics concepts as needed.
The teacher will collaborate with colleagues and families, participate in school events and professional development, support classroom management and student well‑being, and contribute to the spiritual and character formation of students.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field; advanced degree or additional endorsements are a plus.
- Preferred background in Science Education with experience teaching middle school science content.
- Knowledge of Physics concepts appropriate for middle school learners and the ability to present them in age‑appropriate ways.
- Comfort supporting Mathematics skills that directly connect to science instruction.
- Proficient in lesson planning, curriculum implementation, and formative and summative assessment.
- Commitment to Christian education and ability to integrate a biblical worldview into classroom instruction.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and relationship‑building skills with students, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to use educational technology and digital tools to enhance instruction and student engagement.
- Willingness to participate in school-wide activities, chapel, and community events as a collaborative member of the school community.
