Emergency Medical Services Program - Part Time Faculty Pool
This job is for a part-time faculty position in the Emergency Medical Services Program. The position is part of an ongoing applicant pool and will be considered whenever a teaching opportunity is available.
Responsibilities- Provide professional, quality teaching as a faculty member.
- Conduct and teach undergraduate technical education courses in emergency medical services.
- Use active learning methods and a variety of instructional strategies to assist learners in meeting course objectives.
- Assess student learning and provide academic assistance to students as needed.
- A current and valid certificate to teach issued by the Ohio Department of Public Safety Division of EMS or an equivalent state-level agency.
- In-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication in the language in which assigned courses will be taught.
- Ability to communicate effectively with and maintain positive working relationships with students, peers, supervisors, and staff.
- Belief in, and concern for, community service.
- High ethical and moral character.
- Proficiency with email.
- Willingness to teach in a variety of instructional delivery modes, including the use of instructional technologies and online learning management systems.
- Commitment to diversity.
- Commitment to meeting students’ learning needs and empowering students in their learning endeavors.
- Personal and educational philosophy compatible with the goals, objectives, and mission of Central Ohio Technical College.
