Summary

Our ideal candidate will be excited about the mission and values of Greenacres and will be excited to share the arts with community learners. Arts programming at Greenacres focuses on building creativity and fostering appreciation for the visual and performing arts. Your primary focus will be developing and facilitating educational programming for school groups (K-12), after school groups, week-long summer day camps, and community arts programming.

You must be willing to provide hands‑on teaching experiences, collaborate across the education department, and deliver high‑quality programming that prioritizes the creative process over the final product.

This position is based out of the Greenacres Arts Center in Indian Hill, Ohio, with occasional travel to our campuses in Milford, Felicity (OH), and Oldenburg (IN). Ideal candidates are collaborative, hands‑on educators who are excited and eager to grow in informal arts education.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an arts‑related field or comparable academic discipline (i.e. Art Education, Art History, Music Education, Music Performance, Theatre, Theatre Education, Anthropology)
  • Experience working with youth and adults using hands‑on activities in small group settings
  • Desire to ignite a creative spark in community learners, encourage use of imagination, develop social‑emotional skills, and offer opportunities to create and build appreciation for the arts
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team whose expertise spans the disciplines of theatre, music, dance, history, and visual arts
  • Creative, open to exploring and teaching to various facets of the arts, including visual, musical, and theatrical (creation, performance, and study of the arts)
  • Ability to move and work in historic buildings and natural environments (i.e. field, forest, streams) under various weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Occasional weekend and evening hours required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to successfully pass a post‑offer pre‑employment drug test and fingerprint FBI background screen
  • Ability to work with both internal and external partners with different lived experiences and backgrounds to ensure all who visit Greenacres get the highest quality experience that addresses their needs
