Schedule:
1A Grade 4 (Attached). Working Calendar: 187 Days/7 Hours. Salary Range: $18.27/hr - $20.07/hr critical Need Stipend $3.50 per hour & ECE Instructional Assistant Stipend $1.00 per hour.
Exceptional Child Education programs provide individualized instruction for students whose learning needs differ from peers. Programs serve students with Moderate to Severe Disabilities (MSD), Mild Mental Disabilities (MMD), Other Health Impairments (OHI), Emotional Behavioral Disabilities (EBD), Autism (AUT), Visual/Hearing Impairment (VI/HI), Learning Disabilities (LD), Social Communication or a combination.
Scope of Responsibilities- Assist in implementing each student's Individual Education Plan.
- Create and maintain a pleasant, safe, and structured learning environment.
- Support students with disabilities, displaying willingness and aptitude to work with them.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Passing score on the KPA (Kentucky Para educator Exam) or 48 college semester hours.
- Willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities.
- Physical ability and willingness to assist with student physical needs such as positioning, toileting, and lifting.
- Willingness to attend district ECE in‑service professional growth.
Applicants with transcripts obtained outside the U.S. must have credentials evaluated prior to referral for vacancy.
