Job DescriptionThis on‑campus position requires teaching a variety of courses including Management Principles, Entrepreneurship, Social Suitability, Business Technology, and other Management courses as needed. Courses may be delivered in the classroom and/or online to undergraduate and/or graduate students. Additional responsibilities include advising students, advising student clubs, participating in department projects and activities, representing the department at campus‑wide recruiting events, and serving on campus committees.
Duties also include contributing to student growth and experiential learning, evaluating student performance, engaging in scholarly activities, and participating in service to the university and community. The university expects faculty to engage in regional service, education, or study as part of their community‑service responsibility.
- Ph.D. or DBA in Management or related field (or expected to receive within one semester of appointment)
- Teaching experience in Management courses at the undergraduate level
- Demonstrated teaching excellence (student evaluations required)
- Professional work experience in the area of Entrepreneurship or Management
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, online and web‑supported course delivery methods
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and business/community groups
- Teaching experience in entrepreneurship and management courses at the graduate level
- Evidence of current scholarly activity
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness in an online or Hyflex delivery method
- Positive student impacts outside the classroom
- Understanding and appreciation of liberal education and global perspective
