William Paterson University invites applications for Adjunct Professor within the College of Science and Health, Department of Public Health. Applicants will be contacted depending upon immediate need or on an exploratory basis.
Department OverviewThe Department of Public Health is committed to preparing students to understand and critically analyze public health issues, to recognize the importance of health disparities, and to understand the local, national and global dimensions of public health issues. The department also fosters intellectual curiosity, creative problem solving, and a dedication to lifelong learning.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to- Using the course outline as a guide, develop relevant syllabi in order to deploy course content, objectives, and methods of student assessment for up to six (6) credits per semester in an undergraduate course (see course listing above)
- Contribute to student success by providing consistent and effective support and guidance through role modeling and mentoring
- Earned Master’s or PhD in Public Health or a related field
- One or more years teaching in higher education
- Thrives in a collegial, cooperative environment
- Dedicated to excellence and achieving positive outcomes
- Ability to interact with others in a positive manner
- Capacity to fulfill professional responsibilities with a strong sense of moral duty and obligation to the work at hand
New employees - $2100/CREDIT
Employees who have worked for 13+ semesters at WP - $2175/CREDIT
