Job Description
Responsibilities of a Part Time Aviation Instructor include but are not limited to:
- Lecture and Lab instruction for Aviation Courses
- Develop Lesson Plans, and course materials in conjunction with Lead Faculty
- Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes
- Provide advisement to students
- Some program and or curriculum development may be requested
- Attend staff meetings and recruitment activities as requested
Required Qualifications
- FAA issued Certified Flight (II) Instructor, or FAA issued Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating and Advanced Ground Instructor Certificate, and Instrument Ground Instructor.
- Aviation Industry Professionals with extensive experience or Aerodynamics, or Advanced Aircraft Systems, or Crew Resource Management, or Airport Management, or Airline Operations, or Cabin Service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Science, Aeronautical Administration, or related field.
- Knowledge in Canvas or other Learning Management Systems
Schedule: Aviation courses are taught at the CSN Henderson Campus A Building, typically in‑person and can be scheduled during the day, or evenings.
Salary: $925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
