William Paterson University invites applications for the position of Adjunct Faculty within the College of Science and Health, Department of Kinesiology. The role involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses both online and in person.

Department OverviewThe Department of Kinesiology offers BA, BS, and MS programs. Students prepare for careers in athletic training, exercise physiology, physical education, sport management/administration, and sports medicine. Small classes and access to state‑of‑the‑art labs support academic and research engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop syllabi based on the course outline to deliver content, objectives, and assessment methods.
- Support student success by providing consistent assistance and responding to inquiries.
- Teach courses online or in person as scheduled.
- Master’s degree in Kinesiology or a related discipline (Exercise Physiology, Physical Education, Sport Management, Sports Medicine).
- Full‑time or part‑time employment in an area related to the undergraduate major.
- Professional certification or continuing education relevant to Kinesiology.
- Experience teaching both online and in person.
- Master’s degree in Kinesiology or a related discipline (Athletic Training, Exercise Physiology, Sport Administration).
- Full‑time or part‑time employment in an area related to the graduate major.
- Professional certification or continuing education relevant to Kinesiology.
- Experience teaching both online and in person.
- Ability to translate kinesiology expertise into effective pedagogical approaches.

Adjunct Per Credit Rate: New employees – $2,100 per credit;
Employees with 13 or more semesters at WP – $2,175 per credit.
