Overview

Position: ECE Instructional Assistant - Noe Middle School ).

Location:

NOE MIDDLE.

Schedule:

187 days / 7 hours per day. Salary range: $24.52 - $26.96 per hour. ECE Instructional Assistant stipend: $1.00 per hour.

Assists in providing instructional support within Exceptional Child Education (ECE) programs. Responsibilities may include implementing individual education plans and supporting students with disabilities across various programs and facilities. Assignments may involve students with Moderate to Severe Disabilities (MSD), Mild Mental Disabilities (MMD), Other Health Impairments (OHI), Emotional Behavioral Disabilities (EBD), Autism (AUT), Visual Impairment (VI), Hearing Impairment (HI), Learning Disabilities (LD), or related areas.

Changes in assignment or ECE designation may occur during the school year.

• Assist in implementing each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
• Establish and maintain a pleasant, safe, and structured learning environment.
• Demonstrate willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Passing score on the Kentucky Para educator Exam (KPA) or 48 college semester hours.
• Willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities.
• Physical ability and willingness to assist with physical needs of students (e.g., positioning, toileting, lifting).
• Willingness to attend district ECE in-service for professional growth.

• If your highest education is High School or GED you must take and pass the Kentucky Para educator Assessment (KPA). The exam is free and you have three chances to obtain a passing score.
