Educational Aide​/Paraprofessional Position – Cross Categorical Unit

• Monitor and assist student(s) as needed in classroom routines
• Assist teacher with implementation of student individual education plan(s)
• Assists student(s) with mobility, physical, and clothing needs such as positioning, feeding, toileting, diapering, and getting on and off transportation vehicles as needed
• Work with student(s) both individually and in small groups to promote learning and skills initially introduced by the teacher
• Communicate regularly with the classroom teacher regarding student progress, behavior or individual needs
• Work as a collaborative team member
• Create a positive and safe learning environment for all students and hold students accountable for conduct
• Work with others in the school community to support each student’s emotional well-being
