AWS Hardware Engineering is seeking Manufacturing Engineers to operate in a fast-paced, multi-platform international manufacturing and production environment. On-site Manufacturing Engineers work with CMs to scale up production on NPIs and meet production and quality targets. You will collaborate with ODMs, CMs, internal AWS hardware and software teams, and upstream component vendors to monitor and improve incoming hardware quality, proactively in design and by monitoring, reporting, and investigating early-life product failures.
You will own manufacturing launches and resolve process issues, drive production up and running, and determine root causes of hardware failures and gaps in supplier manufacturing processes.
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, supporting data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to keep the cloud running. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain.

Key job responsibilities- Manage quality at the CM
- Provide on-site support to new product launches and sustaining issues
- Design in quality and manufacturability on new server and rack designs
- Root cause customer-impacting issues and drive resolution

Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience with server platforms or high-tech hardware
- 5+ years working with manufacturing suppliers to improve incoming quality of systems
- 5+ years of experience reducing cycle time and improving labor efficiency
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
- Experience with project management of technical projects

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package includes sign-on payments and RSUs. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers health coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
